IT outsourcing projects
Since 2015, our IT operations have been transformed to respond better to the challenges of the future. One of the objectives of the transformation has been to update the skills profile of our own IT personnel and to build new partnerships with the world's best IT service providers. As part of the transformation, we have transferred some of our IT functions to our strategic partners in two phases in 2017 and 2019, so that we can focus on solving future IT challenges ourselves. Both outsourcing projects have been significant for our company, with personnel being transferred to new service providers in several countries around the world.
Markus Taina from HR Plus was the HR Project Manager for both changes, responsible for the overall planning and implementation of HR-related issues in close cooperation with our global and in-country HR managers. HR Plus was involved in the projects from the very beginning and helped us to choose the right partner. HR Plus was then responsible for the execution of the HR Due Diligence. HR Plus was involved in contract negotiations to secure the objectives of both our company and the transferred employees. HR Plus also helped us to plan and implement internal communications, provided support and assistance to our managers during the transition, and ensured that in each country the transfer of employees to the service provider was smooth and in line with legislation and our company's values.
Markus Taina was undoubtedly one of the key figures in the successful change projects. His in-depth knowledge of HR practices and legislation in different countries contributed to the success of a complex change. Markus' cooperation with the stakeholders was seamless and his expertise was very much appreciated by everyone.
